About

I have over 15 years of experience developing marketing and media strategies for Fortune 500 brands as well as start-ups.

Currently I am a data analyst for Spiral16, an online monitoring and research company.

What does a data analyst actually do?  I use powerful data-mining software to gather online research about a business or brand.  Then I create reports on how to use the online data effectively for business. It’s pretty much my dream job.

The web provides businesses with opportunity to target the right audience very efficiently. Increasing ROI and finding digital media opportunities for brands and businesses is my idea of fun.  Sad but true.

My work has been featured in a few books on digital media and marketing.

I’ve been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NPR, Fox News, USA Today. If you are really bored you can see all of the press I’ve received.

I am a contributor to Huffington Post, one of the most popular websites on the Internet.

I write about digital marketing and social media on a number of websites, including the Spiral16 blog.

I have experience speaking to groups of all sizes about digital media and marketing.

Because I’m really geeky, I create online content for online publications on a freelance and project basis.

I started a personal blog in 2005 about parenting. It became a very popular parenting blog and was listed as one of the web’s best mom blogs on Alltop.com. In 2009, Babble.com named it one of the Top 50 Mom Blogs. St. Martin’s Press published a book based on the blog in 2008.  I shut down the blog in early 2010 because I’m just too busy.
