I have a successful track record working with start-up companies. Here are two examples of my work with start-up companies.
Affirmagy was a start-up gift company in Seattle, selling to consumer and retail clients online.
I created the marketing strategy for Seattle company, Affirmagy for over two years. The company created personalized gift blankets. Word-of-mouth recommendations are a key part sales for this product.
During the time period I worked with Affirmagy, the company and it’s founder received national media attention, including The Washington Post, Entrepreneur, Salon and more. The company was named as one of the “hot” start-ups by Start-Up magazine and made a deal with QVC to sell their products.
second chance® products
I created and executed the marketing strategy for apparel start-up second chance® in 2005. There was NO advertising budget and the marketing strategy used content marketing and social media outreach to promote the products. The second chance® products were featured in the 2006 Grammy awards and were part of the 2006 Academy Awards events.
The image below is a snapshot of the national and international media coverage we were able to get for the brand using social media and blogs.
As a part of the marketing plan, we launched the second chance ® brand online community. Working with a San Francisco based firm, the online community was created for designers and artists in the fashion industry. In 2007, the community was sold.
